Monique Graves Executive Director Monique Graves, the founder and Executive Director of Lauren’s House, is a social work student with a minor in early childhood education who was born and raised in the loving, tight-knit community of East Palo Alto. Growing up, Monique, was unaware of the negative publicity that often surrounded her hometown, and she never felt limited by her upbringing or the stigma that some people attach to East Palo Alto. Monique has long been a volunteer in her community, with a particular focus on service to children, youth and families. Rishi Seth Chair Rishi Seth has been a healthcare leader for the last 13 years. He currently serves as Vice President of Operations at Stanford Children's Health. He has worked with multiple non-profits throughout the country focused on enriching children's lives. Ammar Mamajiwala Treasurer Ammar is a chemical engineer by trade, with a background in operational excellence, continuous improvement and data-driven problem solving. After graduating from University of Waterloo, Ammar went on to work in the oil & gas industry in Canada. He now works in a Business Development/Technical Sales role in the Bay Area. He has a passion for teaching and has volunteered with several non profit organizations working to improve literacy among teenagers and adults. He has also volunteered as a fire fighter and is adept at putting out fires (literally too). In his free time, Ammar enjoys playing video games, working out and studying finance. Luanne Smedley Secretary Luanne is a licensed registered nurse by background, currently holds a position at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital as Administrative Director of Clinical Access and Care Coordination. Luanne has overall operational and financial responsibility for the access and care coordination departments including, Case Management, Care Coordination, Patient Placement, Staffing, all of the Nursing Float Teams, the Administrative Nursing Supervisors, and the Transfer Center. In this role, she works collaboratively with physician leaders to develop and enhance patient throughput and flow strategies within the service lines across the six Centers of Excellence. |
